The UNU Centre is the
central programming and coordinating body of the University. Located in
Tokyo, Japan, it assists the Rector in his responsiblilty for the overall
University programme. In addition to directing the overall activities of the
University, the Centre also maintains close coordination with other United
Nations organizations. It promotes exchanges of scholars, scientific and
technical ideas and information within the world academic community,
particularly in developing countries through conferences and
workshops.
